Dental work and life in mexico.
Well we did it! We took the plunge on a recent trip to Cuernavaca where we were going to spend Christmas and New Years and be in one spot for 6 weeks. We decided it would be a good time to get some much needed dental work done.Big Smile Instead of doing the prudent thing and asking around for a recommendation, we chose someone we thought had all the right credentials. Boy, were we mistaken! While his particular dentist had studied his craft in the US, his specialty was orthodontics, a big difference. An orthodontist is not a dental surgeon. Kind of like having the oil change specialist mess around with your transmission if you get my drift. This guy messed us up big time to the tune of over $1000 in dinero and all the work he did needing to be replaced.Broken Heart The signs were there early on, we just chose to ignore them. Our shortcoming, not his. We chose not to go back to this butcher.  Luckily the second time around we did ask some friends in Ajijic, where we were going to stay a few days, if they knew of, or could recommend someone. They sent us to Dr Don in Ajiic and so far we are very pleased with the work he has done . We need to go back to finish up in the next month or so and we are fairly confident Dr. Don will make us proud. As for Cuernavaca and our dentist there he was a Limonchi if you catch my meaning. The moral of the story. Do your homework, ask around, get a referral or recommendation from somone who has used that person themselves. It doesn't matter if its a mechanic, a maid, a doctor or a real estate specialist. Oh! and by the way many people in Mexico hold themselves out to be experienced professionals in their chosen field. Just be careful and check them out thoroughly. Its your money, your life, your future. Act wisely and take your timeSnail You will be glad you did.

Next one certain character seems too forced, the kind of character you'd see in a Ben Stiller movie where they have to have little out of breath speeches, and be completely moronic to society.
